RETURNS, EXCHANGES & LIMITED EDITION POLICY

1 — Introduction

At The Helmy Design Library, every publication is treated as a carefully produced intellectual artifact.


Many editions available through the platform are printed individually, produced in limited quantities, hand-finished, signed, personalized, or prepared through specialized production methods. As a result, our returns and exchange policies differ from those of mass-market retail platforms.


By placing an order through amrhelmy.com, customers acknowledge and accept the policies outlined below.


2 — Physical Books & Printed Editions

We are committed to delivering publications that meet high standards of printing, craftsmanship, and packaging.


Returns or exchanges for physical editions are accepted only under the following conditions:


* The item arrived damaged during shipment
* The item contains a manufacturing or printing defect
* The incorrect item or title was delivered


To qualify for return or exchange:
* The item must remain unused and in its original condition
* The request must comply with the timelines outlined below
* Approval must be granted before any return shipment is sent


3 — Custom, Signed & Personalized Editions

Certain editions available through The Helmy Design Library may include:
* Signed copies
* Personalized dedications
* Embossed editions
* Leather-bound editions
* Collector editions
* Custom-produced publications


Because these editions are produced specifically for the purchaser, they are considered final sale items and are non-refundable except in cases of confirmed production defect or shipping damage.


4 — Digital Products
Digital products may include:

* PDF editions
* eBooks
* Audio books
* Downloadable educational materials
* Digital design content


Due to the nature of digital delivery, all digital product sales are final and non-refundable once access or download has been provided.


5 — Return Request Timelines
Return or exchange requests must be submitted within:


* 14 days of delivery for standard physical products
* 48 hours of delivery for damaged or defective items


Requests involving damage must include clear photographic documentation of:
* The product
* Packaging condition
* Shipping label (if applicable)


Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.


6 — Refunds
Once an approved returned item is received and inspected:


* Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method or as store credit
* Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error originated from us
* Refund processing times may vary depending on payment providers and banking systems


7 — Exchanges
Exchanges are permitted only in cases involving:


* Shipping damage
* Production defects
* Incorrect fulfillment


All exchanges are subject to product availability.


If a replacement edition is unavailable, a refund or store credit may be offered instead.


8 — Production Timing & Handcrafted Variations
Some editions are produced individually or in small production batches and may require additional preparation or production time before shipment.


Minor variations in:
* Paper texture
* Binding details
* Color tone
* Embossing
* Hand-finishing characteristics


are considered part of the artisanal nature of the editions and do not qualify as manufacturing defects.


9 — Shipping Costs


* If the return results from our error, return shipping costs will be covered by us
* In all other approved return situations, shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer


Shipping fees paid during checkout are non-refundable unless the issue resulted directly from our fulfillment error.


10 — International Orders & Customs

International customers are responsible for:


* Customs duties
* Import taxes
* Local fees
* Clearance procedures required by destination countries


The Helmy Design Library is not responsible for:


* Customs delays
* Confiscation of shipments
* Import restrictions
* Destruction of packages by local authorities


If an international shipment is returned to us, refunds may be issued only after deducting all incurred shipping and handling costs, including outbound and return shipping expenses.


11 — Curated External Objects & Affiliate References


Certain curated objects presented within sections such as Design Instruments may be sold or fulfilled by third-party retailers, manufacturers, or affiliate platforms.


Purchases made through external links may be governed by the policies of the original seller or platform.


The Helmy Design Library is not responsible for third-party fulfillment, shipping, warranties, or return procedures related to externally fulfilled products.


12 — Lost, Delayed, or Interrupted Shipments


We are not responsible for shipping delays caused by:


* Customs processing
* Carrier disruptions
* International logistics interruptions
* Force majeure events
* Political or regional disruptions beyond our control


Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on destination and carrier conditions.
