The First Encounter with Narrative Driven Design
The NDD Exposure Residency is the entry point into the philosophy of Narrative Driven Design.
This 30-day residency is designed to introduce designers to a deeper way of thinking about space — one that begins not with form, but with the human life that will unfold inside it.
Participants will explore the foundational principles of NDD, including human-centered diagnosis, narrative thinking, emotional consequences of design, and the responsibility carried by every spatial decision.
This residency is not focused on style or technique.
It is focused on perception.
Learning to see what most design education overlooks:
the psychological needs behind requests, the stories hidden inside spaces, and the invisible structure that shapes human experience.
Level I is both educational and observational.
Participants are evaluated not only on talent, but on intellectual curiosity, discipline, and their readiness to question how they think about design.
Successful completion allows participants to apply for Level II — the Transformation Residency.
